chiasm reviews -"Disorder"

Outburn

While there are plenty of talented women in the dark electro scene, there are still few who have taken on the absolute control of an album and done it so well.

CMJ

Chiasm (Emileigh Rohn) chooses to express her angst through very intimate and intense audio exorcisms that juxtapose her ethereal, haunting vocals and confrontational snarls with murky, minimalist industrial sounds.

Grave Concerns
Emileigh's voice reminds me of 80's new wave pop star Kim Wilde and Bjork. Her debut "Disorder" is indeed a futuristic art form masterpiece.

Chain D.L.K.

The ghost haunting a machine vibe of this album makes for a unique and darkly enjoyable experience. With vocals alternately floating, crooning or hissing alongside the distinctly mechanical mixture of electronic drums, pulsing synths and occasional dialogue sample this is one of those banshee albums that sucks you in and won't let go until it ends.

Starvox Magazine

Emileigh Rohn, the intelligence behind Chiasm, has gifted us with an album that prowls around your skull, hunting down those special nodes of neural-receptors that keep us all addicted to this mistress we call industrial music.

Darker Than The Bat

This debut album is very original and introduces Emileigh?s own sound. You won?t find harsh sounds, pounding beats or even floating melodies, but good songs that will appeal to a lot of people.

Chiasm is really an electro-girl and I have learned to respect the power of a girl?s spirit in this genre.

This release represents something you just don't see enough of in the industrial world, women doing it for themselves...

Gothic Paradise

Fight is my favorite track from this album and probably the best club track.  Very fast and hard-hitting beat, lots of bass and several different synth instruments mixed in... The overall tone and feeling in this song almost reminds me of some VNV Nation material, emotional, dark and forceful.
