Chiasm Disorder (cd – COP)
Chiasm is the brainchild of solo musician and engineer Emileigh Rohn who wrote, programmed, performed and produced all the songs. The guitar in some songs is played by B. Johnson. The intro of first song, Formula, reminds me of Das Ich but changes to something different with beatiful female voices after a few seconds. This debut album is very original and introduces Emileigh’s own sound. You won’t find harsh sounds, pounding beats or even floating melodies, but good songs that will appeal to a lot of people. Good melodies, samples and unique sounds create a wonderful atmosphere. The music is dance-friendly and it is easy to sing along. Great tracks are Disorder and the faster Fight, which will probably be a clubhit soon. The song, Someone, makes me think of Björk in some kind of way. EBM and electro are approached in a different, renewing way. If you like some electronic beats you will be surprised by Chiasm’s melodies. http://www.electro-girl.com
